Reporting

DSOA GAME REPORTING PROCEDURE USING ARBITERSPORTS

Please find below the procedure using ArbiterSports to file the games reports.

The lead official on the game only completes the report.  The lead official must be absolutely certain the information in the report is correct, as there will be no second report to confirm the information.  Be aware:
1.    Use the proper DIAA codes as listed in this document.
2.    Lengthy and verbose comments are not easily edited.
3.    The ArbiterSports game report can only be seen by DSOA administrators in ArbiterSports, whereas currently all Board members get a copy of the report when it is filed.
4.    Please note much of the information is PRE POPULATED.  If there were no cards or incidents, put in comments section “NO CARDS OR INCIDENTS”.
5.    Save the report.
6.    If you’ve successfully saved the report, the R will be yellow as shown.
7.    When the Secretary approves the report, it will be marked “approved” and the R will then be green.
If there were cards, YOU MUST USE THE CONVENTIONS BELOW!

For your convenience, some language is provided below to use for what we have seen on game reports over the past several years.  Try to confine yourself to this language.  DIAA does not need extraneous details in the report; if more detail is needed, we will contact you.  They want to know who did it, from which team, what number, and the offense.  As a standard convention, write “player last name, first name”, “jersey number” “team”, and “misconduct”.  Any field problems, injuries, positive or negative comments should all be listed in the comments section.  If you feel that you need additional detailed descriptions, send a separate email to the Board.  Otherwise we will assume it’s a normal game with a normal amount of cards, etc.
